Titans pretty much win on dead monk but try a conga line of marines down the mountains and work in a marauder or to to delay walker and then a battery (depending on what titans build). Move the battery down to the lower forest tile near your base so it's targetting the lower base of titans and just keep sending marines in a line down the mountains xD. I'm not convinced on the power of this strategy but it forces titan to deviate from the mass speeders and having a battery aimed at their base puts a lot of pressure on the titan defense. I often go 3-4 turns with this strategy before I build anything other than a single marine in the lower base as it helps you counter them once they have a few units in play.
I've had wins with it before anyways but you need to remember to adjust your build depending on their reaction to it.

I was playing saps against titans on desolate today and got creamed. I'm really confused though. I attacked a 3pt plasma tank with my 10pt tank and he lost 1pt. How is that possible? I played a test game against a bot and attacked a 10 pt tank with a 10 pt plasma tank and lost 2pts. Both were on the same terrain in both cases.

Sap tanks will only do 1 pt damage to plasma tanks (absent other modifiers) roughly 15-20% of the time. 2pts most common, 3pts not uncommon. The number of hit points on the plasma tank doesn't effect how much damage the sap tank does to it (that's a general rule – weaker units deal less damage but their defense is the same.)

Yup. It's all about timing. Just like in chess. Attack too quickly and you don't have anything to back up your advance with. Wait too long and they have a fancy defense and are ready to advance their pawns to your side to break up everything you've wasted time on...
