So, I played lots and lots of uniwar, then took a year long break. I've recently got back into playing and noticed a few changes. I thought games against bots could not be rated, unless there were at least 2 humans in the game. Or something to that effect. But, my girlfriend is learning how to play by playing 1v1 bot games, and they are rated. She is also getting huge point swings because they are rated in the 16-1700's! WHAT! The AI is still just as dumb as before... very funny.

Thats strange, you shouldn't be able to play rated vs. humans unless you play rated vs. few bots, at start, but then all bot games can't be rated. That's strange, how do her start rated botmatches?

I had a couple of rated matches with bots long-long ago. You can easily meet them in random if you are around 1500-1600, maybe a little bit more.
But what's wrong with playing rated game against bot if it can reach that ranking, despite being dumb (probably just by winning agains newbies who don't really know how to play yet)? 10-20 games and you will be ahead of those bots and never met them again

Meh if people are using a bots to reach 1600 I it wont really matter.
As soon as they play real people in the same category thier likely to drop a few anyway and have to adjust.

I'm not worried about people using bots to get extra rating points. I just didn't know you could even play rated games against bots. Before, you could create a rated game, but it would auto switch to unrated if there weren't any humans in it after it's created. Am I wrong on that? Again, not complaining. Just trying to tell myself I'm not crazy.

I will upload a pic of my girlfriend playing rated 1v1 bot game... Also, i just got a random unrated game. What is going on here?!? I don't even know anymore.

Thanks for telling us. I stop playing with bot very long time ago.

Your girlfriend should quit playing vs bots in rate games.
After she get around 1700s rating by win bots, she has to play against human to goes beyond 1700s.
Then it will be the real pain for her playing with human being of similar rating.

If she want to practice, better practice with bots in unrated.
Then when she's ready,
she can play rated game against newbies of similar rating with an advantage.

When you start a random game, you have two options: the first lets you chose whether to start a RATED or UNRATED random game, the second lets you choose your race or let it be random as well.

Notice that if you decide to select a race (no random race), if you win the game you will get less points (i think half)
