Just upgraded this morning, and when I touch the UniWar icon to start the app, the screen goes black, and then returns to the home screen with the app icons.

unfortunaltely the new version will break compatibility for older versions of iOS. It was needed to make it work for newer versions.
What is your iOS version?

Same problem here. Running iOS 5.1.1 on a 1st gen iPad. Game is listed in iTunes as supporting iOS 4.3

Fix please.

Is there a way to get an older version for people that upgraded and now have a version which doesn't work on their iPad?

We have released the v1.6.10. We are wondering if it fixes your issue for the iPad running the iOS version 5.1.1. We have not been able to reproduce your issue on an iPod with iOS version 5.1.1.
Please let us know if you still have the issue with the latest update v1.6.10 so that we can fix it.
