As far as I can tell, you can't refuse a challenge. If you don't accept, it will simply remain in your list. Particularly annoying for levels with a huge start advantage, which I believe you guys are addressing (making starting order random). My role reversal idea in another topic would help curb unfair challenges.

Agree. It feels like a bug or major oversight that you just can't decline a challenge, and it sits there polluting your active game list in the mean time.
How does a helicopter catch the flu, exactly?

What I do when I get such a challenge is first make sure they're not online, join the game, then immediately abandon it before he moves.
