I'm playing a game as saps v khraleans and an infector moved next to a Garuda which was positioned next to 2 marines. These 2 marines were then infected with plague, even though not directly next to the infector. Can the infector spread plague via an ally, I'm a chain effect?

Infectors now have a range of 2 hexes with the infection. Up from 1 in the previous system. This is nice that you can now put up a barrier of units 1 deep then tuck in the Infector and let it go to work.

geruda cant be infected, so it cant spread plague. but!
you can infect a mariner at distance 2, and every units around it will get infected automatically when opponents turn starts. probably it will work with infected mariner too, then distance of plague is even larger
