many good and interesting ideas... i like best removing numbers unless detected by another supportunit (passive radius 2).

but i disagree that it has anything to do with the undo-turn feature. That have been easily possible all the time.. and players that needed the info could reset turn quick anyway.

I don't support the removal of minesweepers. Minesweepers are stealhy and you don't have a clear idea of where underlings are, but you at least have some idea.

Meanwhile with the sonar, people are going to have to start spamming assimilators and placing them all over the army, and that completely eliminates the stealth.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of a sonar.... But I want the minesweepers to stay

Yes I have played a lot of good players. Simverd for example.

Yea, I know I'm going to lose my superfanclub membership for uniwar, but I don't redo like a psycho. And I'm pretty sure everyone else doesn't either.

And if I did, than it shouldn't matter if it's minesweepers or assimaltor sonar. You can use both, and find out where everything is. As for spend more credits, your gonna have to spend thoose credits when you play k v t as titan, so do you really want credits wasted on something your barely going to use?

So that means sonar is a cool down ability?

OK, so it only works if you don't move. That's a pretty good idea.

All of that being said, I'd still like to keep a minesweepers system. For the reasons I was originally opposed to sonar. I'd like it to work the same as your sonar does though, that sounds pretty hard cheat.

So I think that we should keep the minesweepers and give assimilators (and engineers) sonar.

I am highly in favor of removing the numbers unless within a certain radius of a support unit (engineer / assimilator / infector). Think this is necessary. Undo button makes it so easy to counter buried underlings. As Sap vs Khral they have no chance because I advance scout for them with Marauders, then undo and grind that space with those same Marauders.

Yep.

And playing more casually, I've had great success in just guessing where underlings are without turn redo, as Sims stated. It is def possible without turn undo, but to be sure you can use turn redo and just crunch those things.

So, yes, I am very much in favor of either getting rid of the Numbers entirely, or having them show passively within a range of engineer class units.

Great idea and well thought out post amidama!
