I think it's a good idea. I'm also happy we have another member of our forum race makers.

As for back story differences, I say that the robots should just believe they are one, where as the convergence actually is one, so they are different.

Or maybe they are lifeless bodies who cant believe in things, idk

Also, I think you might benefit from having a turret unit or two. Turrets and suicide mix surprisingly well

Thoughts:

Infantry zone control bot:
Self destruct seems very powerful. Maybe it should be power 10 GL and power 6 or so GH (plus the modifiers you mentioned) that would still be very useful, I believe. No air attack with this self destruct ?

Missile dart - I was thinking.... Any interest in giving it like 40 mobility, a decent attack, and saying "this unit can only move and or attack one time." That way it has to stay on the base until it moves and attacks, kinda like a missile silo. ? It's a different unit from what you have, but I was thinking that's how a nuke should work in this game..... Make it your colossal unit

Self destruct timer - such a cool idea. I like that the support unit can lengthen it. Really separates this race. Maybe having this number start at a uniform place would make sense? Like giving everything 10 turns. Dunno. Depending on the exact impact of this in game, this could of course be justification for giving your units an extra stat point or ability too. Very cool.

Laser bot - I love this artillery type. I wish this is what the battery was. That said, I think for 2 actions and at a cost 600, 8 is gonna be too high. Unless the range was 1-2 actually, that could probably save it. I think cost 700 would be better if you wanted 1-3, 2-4, 2 actions and power 8 attacks. I think you could go 1-4, power 6 average at 600 tho or, maybe give it a really low self destruct timer ... That could be a fun way to mitigate some extra stats on this unit.

Man. Self destruct timer makes your support unit INCREDIBLY integral to this race, especially if self destruct number is just riiiigght. Not too long not too short.

So if you've got 3 turns left before your units start popping , I can hunt your support pieces and try to just survive for a while.

That is such a FUN game mechanic! And for a saps player or Khra player would give that alternate way of winning.

Love it.

Ah OK. I probably will make another thread with all of the important stuff on it.

. As for the suicde and turrets, they mix well because with normal suicide units, it's hard to hold territory because they die so fast. With normal turrets, by the time you have an area cleared enough for a turret, you don't really need a turret anymore because of how big your army is. With suicides, turrets are necessary to hold ground, and you can still hold ground.
