We keep getting people replying to very old posts. I don't think it should be stopped as there are times it is a good thing, but in most cases people don't realise they're doing it

Can you grey out any post that is over 12 months old? Should be a simple enough CSS change.

It's a 2 edged sword. The reactivated posts are from NEW members to the forum. A good thing. To them they are new posts as they've not yet been here.

As to greying out options, I'm not so sure. This is a very stripped down bare bones forum program. It lacks many features common in most online forums (such as being able to jump to the first unread post of a thread or search members by name, or even filter option to show only posts of the last x time duration.

...The game of life is too short to be taken seriously...
