Aerial tile idea: The Gale/Steam Tile

I have a new terrain idea: Gale/Stream tiles.

This tile works by simply being an aerial road tile. This tile can only be put at flat terrain tiles (plain, water, road, desert, and water) because wind on solid object encounters will not end well for wind. On the contrary, the Gale/Stream tile penalizes aerial units by -1 or -2 defense.

On mobility cost, here's how it's affecting all:

Plain Gale/Stream tile:

Ground Light: 3 (0;0)
Ground Heavy: 3 (0;0)
Aerial: 2 (0;-1) or (0;-2)

Desert Gale/Stream tile:

Ground Light: 5 (-1;-1)
Ground Heavy: 4 (0;0)
Aerial: 2 (0;-1) or (0;-2)

Road/Bridge Gale/Stream tile:

Ground Light: 3 (0;0)
Ground Heavy: 2 (0;-2)
Aerial: 2 (0;-1) or (0;-2)
Aquatic: 4 (0; -2)

Water Gale/Stream tile:

Aerial: 2 (0;-1) or (0;-2)
Aquatic: 4 (0; -2)

Why would wind blowing at 32mph help with mobility while hurting attack and defense? If anything encountering a gale should be disasterous for something like a swarmer. If you want increased mobility maybe have a Thermal tile that helps with mobility instead.

I had quite a difficulty on how to direct a tile's name. Surely it's pretty essential on how to direct a tile and its name. I thought that some wind or a breeze would sound weak (also means that it won't make much difference for anything heavier than a bird, even in real life), and storms makes it too strong, so I went for gale. Think about it, you gain speed, but at a cost of reaction time or other trade offs (it's basically a shed armor gain speed tradeoff like road tiles for gh)). Any thermal climates are much rarer than windy climates in the air imo

Pretty sure gale is stronger than storm :p

I think he means thermal as in a thermal vent. Presumably the hot air released by the thermal vent would provide favorable aerodynamic conditions for aerial units?

Maybe "jet stream" tile?

I meant thermal as in a rising column of hot/warm air a thermal vent is an opening in the Earths crust typically underwater
