Subject: Infecting a capping unit with hp +1

If I infect a unit that is capping a base, and it has only one hit point, will it kill it before it completes capping, or does the capping take precedent over the infection?

Plague never kills a unit ever. It leaves the unit at 1 health.

Also you can't convert a unit while it's capping either ... in case you thought that might be an option (many are surprised).
