Of the ones that Nicko named, the 6 I would vote for are
piriapolis
the great wall
starvation
laguna niguel
wildplains
a river runs
although any of the ones Nicko named are good. I particularly like starvation, laguna niguel, and the great wall because of the number of bases you can still come back after losing one or two. Unlike when a base is worth 100cr+ per turn which makes it harder to fight back due to the overwelming economic advantage of your opponet getting 200cr+ more then you per turn. That's my opinion anyway.

Ok guys, I'm going to give you another week to recommend good maps, and then I'll setup a poll for which map you would like for round1. Then round2, etc.
We just need to spread the word on chat to reach the total of 64 players....

Yeah Sphink I chose those specifically for that reason. Low income per bases maps are very balanced because losing one base won't predict the battle on one turn.
And nfong, I still don't understand how the tournament is going to be held... rules and procedures please?

Hey nfong,
since your gonna wait a week for map sugjestions, then post a pole for the maps (another week?) and then wait for 64 players. I hope you don't mind if I set up a quick 16 player single elimination tournament. Maybe we can use the expierance to help we the big 64 player tourny that we're settin up here. I'll post a thread with the rules.

Ok, sounds good Sphink. A quick 16 person tourney should help set the guidelines for this one.
