Scenario:
Unit positioning at the start of the turn:
At the begining of the turn, game considers that attacking Pinzer at top left with 10 health Mech will have the following result:
Step 1: Move Guardian in bottom right to the forest in adjacent tile and attack the closet Pinzer.
Step 2: Move Eclipce (an adjacent with crack) two tiles down, to the forest, and attack the infector.
The resulting unit positioning will look like this:
Expected behavior:
The considered result for attacking Pinzer with Mech won't change.
Actual behavior:
Both Mech and Pinzer are expected to deal 1 more damage:
Notes:
The order of the steps does not affect the result;
Moving Guardian to the plains tile does not affect the result;
Attacking with Mech will cause "Game Unsynchronized" error at the end of the turn.

There is a random number generator that will have exactly the effect you are describing. The fact that you attacked the infector means you are likely to get a different result for attacking the Pinzer with the mecha. Using the uniwar damage calculator it shows that in that position the mecha has a 72% chance of dealing 1 damage and 18% of 2 damage, 0 and 3 are also possible. The Pinzer had 58% of 6 damage and 24% of 7, with other values between 4 and 8 damage.
This should not be the reason the game became unsyncronised, though it is possible there is a bug in the RNG that means local and server get out of sync.
