While I was making more ideas in my game project, I came of an idea, what if we have a unit count?
It's simple in a way
This can just be used as an aesthetic novelty, adding flavor to the game, which could make interesting thoughts

If you guys want this as a mechanic, here's what I think of:
If a unit is wounded, its attack stats will be lowered, depending how many it has. If a unit has:
10 counts = Unit loses atk stat for every 1 Hp is lost
5 counts = Unit loses atk stat for every 2 Hp is lost
2 counts = Unit loses atk stat for every 5 Hp is lost
1 count = Unit is immune to stat lost, otherwise, it dies
To counteract the powerhouse rule, it has a subversive one:
10 counts = Unit can deal +5 atk max upon gangup
5 counts = Unit can deal +4 atk max upon gangup
2 counts = Unit can deal +3 atk max upon gangup
1 count = Unit can deal +2 atk max upon gangup
Well, this can really complicate things a whole lot tho :/

I don't really get how this is different to the current health value. It seems like a visualisation of the health of a unit being made into a squad. This seems like lots of work and I'm not sure of the benefit. Also visually on a mobile screen it will get very messy.

Besides some visual eye candy, it doesn't add anything to the game.
Although I do like seeing infantry appearing in squads - if you've played hex turn based strategy games like Order of Battle: WW2 on Steam, infantry units always come with 3 models on a hex. Or even in games like Civ V, where infantry come in a numerous formation while tanks and larger units come with 2 models or so.
However, I do not think it is worth the time and money to give infantry a more "fuller" appearance, because:
1) It's just simple eye candy
2) Said eye candy probably wouldn't even work for Uniwar, considering it's a mobile game meant to be played on smaller size phone screens. If anything it'd probably detract from the visual experience.
