How to read the end of game graph?

I've tried searching for the answer but can't find it.

I previously interpreted the chart to mean value of army over each round. But this can't be true.

I just played a game where I dominated and had a larger army from early in the game but the graph shows me tracking lower until the very last turn?

I am also interested in the answer.
I had assumed it was net worth, with damage factored in.
Eg, a mech with 10 health has more value than a mech with 2 health.
If in your example above you had a lot of units repairing in the back, even though you have more guys, you opponent may have had more money from cities or capturing bases early.

I am also curious when the data is read. Like, is it captured at the end of everyones turn? Also, i think p2 gets more resources on his first turn then p1. So all this might factor in, but I am just guessing!
