...could see as in actually see them,
or did he just use the little yellow numbers (that every single player on uniwar is given once underground spyders are near)?
it's really not hard if you have some units around the underground guy...
invite me to an unrated if you need proof

Well tell us the context, it's kinda hard to determine, but I'm pretty sure there are no cheats
Just tell us on what map, how and where in the map.

Could anyone explain exactly what the numbers mean? I realize they mean undergroundies are nearby, but I've seen numbers 1,2, and 3. Do they represent HOW MANY are within a certain tile range?

number corresponds to the number of underlings NEXT to your unit (not under it), so you could go up to 6
X X
X O X
X X
The "O" is your unit, the "X" are underlings. With this scenario, you'll see the number "6" appear. Got it?
edit: great the forum messed it up... Hold on
edit2: should work now...

I'm a new player so excuse the stupid question buts what's the point of having underground units if your opponent knows they're there?

They can get attack bonuses once they pop up, and they can't be damaged. They are some 1337 pro ninjas. The little yellow number is the number of buried units adjacent to the unit. So if you learn to play minesweeper, you can no almost all their locations.

I was gonna say 'You been owned' but that makes me sound cocky... so um... ya... |

Lol if you didn't know they were there, they would be extremely OP.

your opponent doesn't always know they are there, they can only see the numbers when the underling is right next to them. So if they have a unit with high vision guarding, you can easily sneak by.

Mostly pissing your opponent off and a SERIOUS damage boost (especially on advantageous terrain)

Plus they can't (really/easily) be harmed underground, so you can position them where you want them without being subject to attack or bombardment. Safe place to heal before popping up again (and you can still get heal bonus by proximity to Infector).

well, underlings are probably the best standard unit there is. they can go underground, they cost 100, and when they pop, they do massive damage causing your opponent to rage quit

Yeah, the terrain helps them tremendously. If they're in a forest next to a heavy unit, they recieve the sneak attack bonus, the terrain bonus, and the heavy unit loses defense. Triple good stuff.
Sometimes I also use bury to get a dying unit out of the fight, to heal and fight another turn. Though usually that never comes because they heal slowly. It's probably best to just let them die and distract the enemy from your larger units.
