i like most of the changes except the following:
1. increasing mecha attack vs. air - mecha is already powerful enough imo
2. decreasing eclipse cost - i always thought eclipse should cost 450...
3. lowering swarmer attack and defense - the swarmer is one of the weakest units already. i don't think it should be made even weaker.
btw, these are the changes i especially like:
1. decreasing sapiens tank cost
2. increasing garuda attack vs ground heavy

my suggestions to handle the unbalanced maps is to allow players to "abandon" a random game before their first turn up to 2 times in a row, meaning if you abandon 2 times then you will have to play the 3rd one.
each time one of the 2 players abandon the game then a new matchup is created between the same 2 players. so worst case there would be 4 different abandoned matchups until the 5th will be forced.
the abandoning of maps should be used to take into account whether the map with that particular matchup should be included in the random matchup pool.

here are some comments:
1. i really like the tourney integration with the game and website. it's cool.
2. i also like the divisions by player ranking.
3. the first map (number eight) seems rather unbalanced for khraleans vs titans or sapiens. especially red khraleans vs blue titans. is there even a way to win this matchup against a good player? if this had been a random game i got, i would have offered peace immediately. so maybe for future tourneys, remove the unbalanced race combos from the tourney. and if not, maybe just make the games unrated.
4. it would be nice to be able to see the number of rounds that the matches were won in on the website tourney results so that we could know who will advance. also would be nice to see which races were in the matches.
5. i'm guessing i won't advance since johnalei already won 2 games, so even if i win the last game it will probably be in more rounds. i'm actually kind of happy about this since it is a bit too much time for me currently - to play 3 games twice a day. but i will make an effort to join future tourneys (depending on the organizer) because i think they're good for the uniwar community and i did have fun in this one. (i tried to convince my hubby to join the tourney but he's attending a 3 day conference now so really doesn't have time to play.)

this sounds like a fun tournament (unlike spring freshet which was quite tedious).
let's not forget uniwar is a game and it's all about having fun.

i would like to complain about how this tournament is being run.
on the one hand, runiwar clan is complaining that i skipped papaya's turn after he played 3 out of 4 games and then simply didn't play the 4th game where he was losing badly (and when he was losing on the 3 other games as well).
on the other hand, talone is now changing the rules of the tournament and giving an extension but saying that if someone takes a long time to play his turn (within the 12 hour time limit) then he will remove him from the tournament. excuse me? we have 2 young children (2 and 4 y/o) and a demanding business and we both made sure to play our turns on time which is difficult given the difference in timezones with russia and given our extremely busy home life, but to decide to disqualify anon420 because he's not playing fast enough in this extra made up extension is ridiculous.
my husband, anon420, is clearly winning on one of the games and the other 3 games aren't clear. but talone will do everything to make sure one of the runiwar clan will win this tournament, even if it means changing the rules in the middle and disqualifying someone based on how busy they are in their personal life.
also, in addition to this, i would like to say that i take great offense at the fact that talone is constantly accusing me of letting my husband play for me (which is of course untrue). if you think that a woman can't get to the quaterfinals on her own then you lead a very sad existence.
thanks for the shirt but i will not join another uniwar tournament as long as talone is in charge of it.

well the game hasn't crashed in a few days, so something has been fixed on the server (thanks). but i'm still not getting notifications...

ever since the update before last from amazon appstore the game crashes every few minutes. also notifications stopped appearing.
i tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didn't help.
i have a samsung galaxy note 3 running android 4.3.
