Cannot create rated game

Subject: Cannot create rated game

Whenever I try to create a game, I set everything up properly for rating but when I create the game, it appears as 'unrated'. What gives?

You're playing against bots and trying to farm ratings points. Play against real people in rated games and learn how to play well. You'll enjoy that more.

some maps can't be played as Rated

i had this same problem when i first started. the above comment may be your problem, otherwise (and in my case) i had to exit the game, kill the program, and simply reload it. that took care of it for me

If the map is unfair or is biased towards one race, the devs make it unrated so it cant be exploited for points.
