A simple answer to those who like to pad their scores with unfair games, a challenge of reversed roles could start a second game in two player games where the map would stay the same, the host and races would be switched. A refusal to accept that challenge would result in an offer of peace. The first game would continue, unless the peace option was selected. Likely this would result in both players winning and losing just one game. If the first player won both, it would keep the loser from complaining about fairness. Obviously the second game could not be abandoned on the first turn without penalty. The reversal could only be used once on the first map, and not on the second. In theory, a similar solution could be attempted against players who are suspected of collaborating or being the same person in a multiplayer game, whereby one is challenged to a game with the two of you, plus bots to fill in the rest. This would put and end to all abusers of map host and race advantages. The solution is probably best only for two player games, though. People would stop using imbalanced maps as this caught on.

Would a better idea be this?
The player who makes the map cannot choose which side he will play. The other player chooses.
That way, the player who set the game up is incentivised to make a fair game.
Simple.

For unranked it's not that big an idea (I've had fun on a map that the designer usually wins but the map was interesting enough to play twice) Others you look at and then pass on as it's obvious.
To the unfair ranked I'd say pull or use the fixes that the designers have done (gruntv2 has a fix. Sadly the unballanced gruntv2 is ranked, the fixed gruntv3 is not for example)
