Welcome to the first fully automated chamionship tournament!

CHAMPIONSHIP:
This tournament gives points for the new Championship Ladder to all participants. Championship tournaments are the only way to earn points for this ladder. The number of points received depends on how far you go in the tournament. Championship tournaments will always be random and mirrored. You need a minimum score of 1700 to participate in a Championship tournament. It is forbidden to play with mulitple accounts.
OLYMPIC SYSTEM:
This is a single-elimination tournament. The loser of each bracket is immediately eliminated from the tournament.
MAPS:
Not decided yet - post will be updated
DRAW:
The draw is made at RANDOM. The games are created automatically with RANDOMLY assigned races. The games are MIRRORED. Each player play 2 games per round. In the 2nd game, players switch position and race.
POINTS:
The player with the most point in his group moves to the next round. Player points are automatically updated every 15 min.
Win = 3 points.
Draw = 1 point.
Loss = 0 point.
= sum of completed rounds for all games.
= sum of completed rounds for WON games.
TURN DURATION:
All games are created with 12 hours time limit per turn except for the 1st turn which has 1 days time limit.
ROUND DURATION:
Each round of the tournament has a maximum of 14 days. For unfinished games at the end of a round, the winner is the one who has
1. The most owned bases
2. The highest total value of killed units
Otherwise, the game is a draw.
TIES IN POINT:
The player who has the most points of the two players advances to the next round. When 2 or more players have the same number of points at the end of a round, the winner is the one who has
1. The least number of rounds for all the winning matches
2. The highest total value of killed units for all matches.
Otherwise, the winner is randomly chosen but that should never happen unless the participants did not make any move.

Sounds great! I am looking forward to it. I do think that the map choice is a big issue. I understand that you don't want to release maps too early as people will practice lots but also the last two tournaments seemed to have 1-2 maps with problems.
Will the mirror matches happen at the same time?

Maps are actually less important when doing mirror matches..
