1.8.53
Fix critical network bug preventing to play online and affecting Android devices with OS version from 4.0 to 4.2.x.
Upgraded to LibGDX 1.8.0

Note:
Unfortunately for Android players having an OS version lower than 4.0, there is a known issue when connecting on WIFI with a router that provides an IPv6 address on which we have no control. In short, some players with older devices might not be able to connect on some WIFI network that are rolling out support for IPv6 addresses. For this reason, in the future, we will stop supporting Android devices below 4.0

What version of Amazon kindle does this translate to? I have a first Generation Amazon Kindle Fire. will this now be unsupported?
