Thou shalt only attack a healer unit that can turn you if you know you're going to kill it.

Thou shalt not rush enemies with thy walker.
Thou shalt not tell underlings to "Get to the Chopper"
and
Thou shalt not spam boppers and hope your opponent stays in their attack area.

Thou shalt not build a wall and make thy opponent pay for it.
Thou shalt not use a wyrm as a melee unit.
Thou shalt not say "Its over now! I have the high ground!" whenever thou get a troop onto a mountain or hill.
Thou shalt not say "You underestimate my power!" when your opponent says the previous comment, and your troop is on a lava related tile, and you will not attack it and fail miserably and lose 9 hp and get turned into a cyborg.

Thou shalt skip the infidel who doth not ask for time, unless it's a tournament, in which case hit your enemy with the chair after you skip.

If we're going for noob-friendly rules, one I'd say is "thou shalt not build eclipses unless the enemy has air units, and even then, reconsider whether speeders & Mechas will do the job just as well without being a waste of credits afterwards."

That's a fantastic piece of advice LOL... I think the hope was that the unicommandments would be shorter quips (think "thou shalt not murder" , "thou shalt not covet they neighbors wife") except in Uniwar language haha.

There are some fun thoughts on here though.

Perhaps we could change your eclipse statement to something like:

"Thou shalt not build an eclipse in the first seven rounds"

Or

"Thou shalt not build an eclipse"

Or

"Thou shalt punish the fool who builds an eclipse"

...

Perhaps we should have a reference section attached to the commandments for why these commandments exist. So the first post would be just the commandments. The next post would be the WHY for each commandment?

How about:

"Thou shalt have fun, and Thou shalt help others to also have fun"

Then

"Thou shalt consider the impact of skipping before utilizing the skip button"

Because as mister creepy notes.... in a tourney environment... skipping can be appropriate and is generally considered fair play. In UR or even ranked play however there is different etiquette. I think the longer you play the more you realize the impact skipping has on both your enjoyment of the game as well as your opponents. Most of the time once you skip the game is over, and with it any chance of a fun exciting finish to the game. ... so I think pairing these sentiments could help to make that connection earlier for some uniwarriors?

Just a thought.

Thank you guys for the ideas

Once we have the ideas for the 10 unicommandments, then we should talk about the exact verbiage ... because I'm sure there's a better way to say these same things

Oh one more

"Thou shalt not beg for unicoins"
"Thou shalt not be a unicoin beggar"

Something along those lines

"Thou shalt wait "two weeks" for all new features"

Especially in tourneys skipping is wrong. 12h is a very short time, and sometimes RL takes over and you just can't connect for 12h. Taking advantage of this is despisable, and I certainly don't approve of any unwritten rules who would state that you must connect to uniwar no matter what happens IRL. Uniwzr is a game, no less, no more, and skipping just ruins the fun.

Of course if someone is stalling on purpose (especially people who deliberately play a game and not the other) then yes, it's fair game to skip.

Important to note this is your opinion.

Personally, I've come around to agreeing with this line of thinking. Generally, I reserve skipping for those "the other guy isn't online at all over a period of days and now I've gotta get this game out my queue (or it's becoming concerning for a tourney that it'll run out of time. )"

However. This opinion isn't universal. And the goal here isn't to force my opinion on others. This is why I phrased the skipping line as I did above. "Consider the impact of skipping" ... I think it's fair to ask players to do that.

But as an open discussion, I'm open to suggestions... I just don't think I can get on board with "thou shalt not skip"
