It would be very cool to be able to see the entire maps while playing without having to scroll around. And, bigger maps too.

i believe development has ended for uniwar and all their focus has been on uniwar 2. they don't seem to be updating unbalanced maps or making any improvements (e.g. chat), so i don't expect them to port uniwar to the higher res ipad.

I'd LOVE uniwar (or its successor) for the ipad. Seems like SUCH a great platform for board games.
On that same note - what do you know about uniwar 2? Is it a rework of the same game, like Warcraft 3 is of warcraft 2? Or is it something radically different? Any official place to learn about it?

I'd pay $20 for a Uniwar that supported iPad.
I'm not alone on that one though others may not be so keen. You could easily charge $6.99 for others.
