Do you get gang up bonuses with siege? And if so, how does it work with all the weird possible angles?

Ranged gives you the +1 gang up bonus, no matter the angle.

Here's the rules for gangup bonus:

GANGUP BONUS

Attack the same enemy twice or more during the same turn to gain an attack bonus. This GangUp Bonus varies depending on the location of the first attacking unit and the following attacking units. To gain a small bonus, have an attacker next to the first attacker or have one of your attackers fight long range. For a better advantage, have the second attacker further around the enemy unit. To gain the best advantage, have the next attacker behind the enemy unit on the opposite side of the first attacker.

Thank you very much. So even if you have a siege opposite your first attack, it is only +1.

Opposite is +3. Right next to the first unit is +1. And the other possibility is +2.

In other words, the farther away your 2nd attack is from your 1st attack, the more damage it'll do.

So Xenai said that a ranged attack gives you the +1 bonus no matter the angle. Also, the description you provided reads: "...To gain a small bonus...have one of your attackers fight long range."

I understand how adjacent combat bonuses work by where you are on the hex, but I'm just wondering about LONG RANGE units because of all the weird angles you can get. From what has been said here, it seems that a siege attack from 2+ range will get +1 bonus even if it is exactly opposite from a preceding attack.

Is that correct?

Oh...I'm unsure about long range attacks. I don't think long range attacks are mentioned in the rules.

+1 bonus is for attacks that are right beside the 1st attacker (or in the same spot if it was a marauder double attack), are ranged, or if the 1st attacker pulled away (speeder or helicopter for instance).
