Yes, that would be great!
Additionally, there should be an option to swap armies during the battle. (For unrated games.) So if one player is convinced that their position is unwinnable, and they want to concede, the other player can give it a try.

Enemy units exert a "zone of control" into adjacent hexes. Your units have to stop when they come adjacent to an enemy.

Notify when logged in: yes
I've received one email from UniWar, and that was a game invitation notification. I didn't get emails for the other two games I was invited to, nor am I getting an email when it's my turn in the game I'm playing.
Alas.
